Voices of the Motherlands (VOTM)
Reclaiming Wisdom. Amplifying Women. Remembering Who We Are.
Voices of the Motherlands is a storytelling and speaker series dedicated to uplifting the voices of mothers, grandmothers, elders, and culture keepers from around the world.
Across history, women have been the carriers of memory, wisdom, and healing traditions. Yet in modern society, many of these voices have been marginalized, forgotten, or dismissed.
This project exists to change that.
Through intimate gatherings, conversations, and cultural storytelling, Voices of the Motherlands creates space for women to share the knowledge that has been passed down through generations — knowledge about healing, land stewardship, community care, spirituality, motherhood, and resilience.
These gatherings are designed to remind us that wisdom does not only live in textbooks or institutions.
It lives in the lived experience of women who have walked through life and come back with something to teach.
What We Do
Voices of the Motherlands hosts gatherings that center women's wisdom and lived experience.
Events may include:
• Speaker gatherings featuring mothers, elders, and wisdom keepers
• Storytelling circles that honor ancestral knowledge and cultural memory
• Community conversations about healing, motherhood, and leadership
• Intergenerational dialogue between young women and elders
• Cultural teachings from diverse traditions and lineages
Each event is designed to create an atmosphere of respect, listening, and collective reflection.
These are not lectures.
They are spaces of remembering.
Why This Matters
Many of the solutions our world needs already exist inside living memory.
Women across cultures carry teachings about:
• caring for the land
• raising children in community
• healing trauma
• honoring cycles of life and death
• building resilient families and cultures
But too often, these voices are ignored in public discourse.
Voices of the Motherlands exists to bring them forward again.
By listening to the wisdom of women and elders, we strengthen the cultural foundations needed to build a more peaceful and balanced future.
Who Is This For
These gatherings are open to anyone who believes that the wisdom of women and elders deserves to be heard.
We especially welcome:
• mothers
• grandmothers
• young women seeking mentorship
• community leaders and healers
• cultural practitioners and tradition keepers
• anyone who wants to learn from lived wisdom
Our goal is to create spaces where people of all backgrounds can gather in respect and curiosity.
Long-Term Vision
Over time, Voices of the Motherlands will grow into a larger archive of wisdom and storytelling.
Future plans include:
• recorded conversations and oral histories
• live speaking events and cultural gatherings
• youth mentorship programs connecting girls with elders
• traveling speaker events and community dialogues
• a digital library preserving women's wisdom traditions
By documenting and sharing these voices, we help ensure that this knowledge is not lost.
A Founder’s Note
Voices of the Motherlands was born from a simple realization: some of the most important wisdom in the world is rarely given a microphone.
Throughout history, mothers, grandmothers, healers, and elders have carried knowledge about healing, community, survival, and the sacred rhythms of life. Yet in many modern spaces, those voices are often overlooked.
As a mother and community builder, I believe the wisdom of women is one of the greatest resources we have for creating a more peaceful and balanced world. Voices of the Motherlands exists to create space for those stories to be shared, honored, and remembered.

Our First Gathering
Our first Voices of the Motherlands gathering will take place on February 22, 2026, bringing together mothers, grandmothers, elders, healers, and community leaders for an evening of storytelling, reflection, and conversation.
This inaugural gathering will center around a simple but powerful question:
How do we create a more peaceful world for the next generation?
Participants will share personal stories, cultural teachings, and lived wisdom about healing, motherhood, community resilience, and the responsibility we carry to the generations coming after us.
Rather than a formal conference, this event will be an intimate space for listening, learning, and remembering the wisdom that already lives within our communities.
This gathering marks the beginning of an ongoing series dedicated to uplifting the voices of women whose stories deserve to be heard.
Discover Your Motherland Story
Many women feel the call to share their story but are not sure where to begin.
Our experiences, our ancestors, and the challenges we have walked through often shape wisdom that others need to hear. Sometimes we simply need a moment of reflection to recognize the meaning within our own journey.
We created a short reflection guide to help you explore the experiences, influences, and lessons that have shaped your voice.
If you feel a story inside you waiting to be told, this guide can help you begin to uncover it.

A Few Prompts to Help You Begin
You don’t need a perfect story to reach out. Sometimes a single memory, lesson, or life experience is enough to begin a conversation.
If you’re not sure what to share, you might reflect on questions like:
• What life experience shaped you in a way others could learn from?
• What wisdom did a mother, grandmother, or elder pass down to you?
• What challenge taught you something important about healing, resilience, or community?
• What do younger women need to know that no one told you?
• What truth about life feels important for others to hear right now?
You are welcome to answer one of these questions, share a brief story, or simply introduce yourself.
