Council of the Rebel Matriarchs
Where women who have lived, loved, survived, and protected life help guide what comes next.
Overview
The Council of the Rebel Matriarchs is a gathering of mothers, grandmothers, elders, and courageous feminine leaders who are committed to protecting life, preserving wisdom, and helping guide the creation of a more peaceful future.
Throughout history, when societies collapse, fracture, or lose their way, it is often women who hold communities together. Women feed the people, raise the children, care for the sick, carry ancestral memory, and help imagine what comes next.
This council honors that role.
The Council of the Rebel Matriarchs creates a space where women across generations can gather to speak truth, share lived wisdom, uplift one another, and help shape a more humane and spiritually grounded world.
At Rainbow Bridge Church, we believe matriarchs are not relics of the past.
They are architects of the future.
Why This Exists
We are living through a time of profound transition.
Many people feel disoriented by political division, cultural conflict, environmental uncertainty, and the rapid pace of social change. At the same time, many of the voices most capable of offering wisdom and perspective — mothers, grandmothers, elders, and experienced women — are often overlooked or excluded from public leadership.
The Council of the Rebel Matriarchs exists to change that.
This council creates space for women to:
• share lived wisdom and life experience
• speak honestly about the challenges facing our communities
• offer guidance rooted in compassion, truth, and courage
• preserve cultural memory and ancestral knowledge
• uplift causes that protect women, children, families, and the earth
• support one another in leadership and service
The future cannot be built without the wisdom of the women who have lived through the storms.
What We Do
The Council of the Rebel Matriarchs will grow organically as the church and community expand, but may include gatherings and initiatives such as:
Matriarch Gatherings
Small and large gatherings where women come together for conversation, storytelling, reflection, and collective wisdom sharing.
These spaces allow women across generations to speak honestly about life, leadership, healing, motherhood, community, and the future.
Public Conversations
Council members may participate in public conversations, panels, or community dialogues that uplift feminine leadership and bring forward perspectives often missing in traditional leadership spaces.
Intergenerational Wisdom
The council helps create bridges between generations so younger women can learn from elders, and elders can remain actively engaged in shaping the future.
Community Guidance
As Rainbow Bridge Church grows, the Council of the Rebel Matriarchs may serve as a moral and cultural compass — offering insight, reflection, and wisdom that supports the church's mission of healing, belonging, and peace-building.
